Vivian Douglas Warlapinni has been an Arts Worker at Tiwi Design for nearly four years. He has followed in the footsteps of his father, Vivian Kerinauia, who was one of Tiwi Design’s founders.
Vivian Douglas Warlapinni grew up on Bathurst Island in the Tiwi Islands, and since he was a toddler he has been in the Art Centre environment. Currently, he works in the Sales and Administration area and is assistant to the Master Printer.
Vivian has undertaken Cert II training in screen-printing at Charles Darwin University, and his goal is to continue his study and travel Australia and the world.
In 2010 Vivian participated in the Pilot of the ANKAAA Arts Worker Extension Program (AWEP).
In 2013 he represented Tiwi Designs at the Festival of Pacific Arts on the Solomon Islands and was a mentor for AWEP participants.
